Dear Families,
It’s hard to believe that it is June and that the school year is coming to a close. This month is filled with excitement, celebration, and a mix of emotions as students prepare to wrap up another year of learning and growth.
We’re so proud of the progress our students have made—academically, socially, and emotionally. Whether it’s the friendships they’ve built, the goals they’ve reached, or the challenges they’ve overcome, each child has something to be proud of.
June is a busy time, with final projects, field trips, special events, and goodbyes. We’re working hard to make these last few weeks meaningful and memorable for all students. Thank you for your continued support, encouragement, and partnership throughout the year—it truly makes a difference.

In junior high, we have approximately 65 students spread out across 5 mini homerooms. Junior high students may have a few teachers and will change classes for reading, math, writing, science and social studies.
Students are placed in classes based on a number of factors. All teachers will reach out to families at the end of August to introduce themselves and answer any questions you may have.
Staffing Updates:
Staffing can change until the end of June. At this time, we are welcoming 4 new teachers to our school. Information will be posted on the staff list shortly. We are also saying good-bye to Ms. Paul (current Blue team teacher) who is moving to BC, Ms. Devolli (EA) who is moving to another school and Ms. McKinlay as she retires from the CBE. We are grateful to all of them for their commitment to students and wish Ms. McKinlay all the best in retirement!
We look forward to finishing strong and celebrating our year together. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions as we head into the final stretch.
Thank you,
Chantel Crosby
