Hi All,

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming many new students and families to Dr. Oakley during our Open House. We are excited to be welcoming 92 new students in Grades 3–9 next year, and it was wonderful to begin the process of getting to know them and their families. There was a great sense of energy and excitement throughout the building as students explored classrooms, met staff, and learned more about our school community.

This time of year also brings many transitions for our current students. Some students are preparing to move from elementary into junior high, while others are getting ready to transition to new schools and new opportunities at the end of the year. We recognize that transitions can bring both excitement and uncertainty, and our staff continue to work thoughtfully to support students socially, emotionally, and academically through these important changes.

As always, this is also a very busy and joyful season at school, filled with field trips, celebrations, performances, assemblies, and opportunities to reflect on the growth students have made throughout the year. We are grateful for the care, flexibility, and partnership of our families during this full and meaningful time.

For families of students who will be leaving Dr. Oakley at the end of the year, we warmly invite you to join us for our Farewell Assembly on June 25 at 2:15 p.m. as we celebrate our students and the many contributions they have made to our school community.
