Week Ahead: Monday March 9 Tuesday March 10 Wednesday March 11 Thursday March 12 Friday March 13 Upcoming: Upcoming School Conferences- School Conferences will take place on Thursday March 19 4:00-8:00 in person and Friday March 20 from 8:00-12:00 online. The conference booking system will open Tuesday March 10th at 10:00am through your MyCBE account. On the Thursday evening our Junior High and Specialist teachers will be in the gym to speak with families. You are not able to book these appointments as families will line up to speak to the teachers they wish to talk with. Friday appointments can be booked online for all teachers (online meetings). To book teachers other than your child’s homeroom teacher, please click the toggle “Show All Conference Lead(s)” to book with literacy, math or other teachers. Booking End Date for Thursday conferences - March 18 @ 4pm Booking End Date for Friday conferences – March 19 @ 12pm Bus Rides Home with Friends – Updated Process In order to align with system expectations, we are required to process a student letter before your child is able to ride on another bus. In order to have time to request these letters please inform the office no later than 10:00am if your child is wanting to go on another bus. Unfortunately, requests after 10:00am will not be able to be accommodated. Reminder, both families need to advise the office with student arrangements for bus changes. Dr. Oakley School, through the Pinnacle Parents Association (PPA) has been approved to fundraise through Skip the Depot Recycling! No lugging bags of bottles to the school or sending anything with your kids on the bus - Skip the Depot will come to your house and pick up bagged and labelled items from you on a one-time or regularly scheduled basis. Use this link to create an account or, if you already have an account with Skip the Depot, simply log in and search for Pinnacle Parent Association from the drop down menu to designate your recycling refunds to go towards Dr. Oakley School! Instructions are easy to find on the website and you will be given your own unique number to attach to your bagged bottles/clothing/electronics (please separate and do not mix beverages with clothing, etc.) and then leave them out where you have indicated they will be on the day scheduled for pick up.
